Smart Kitchen by Toncelli with built-in Samsung Galaxy Tablet

This super smart Prisma kitchen by Toncelli will be presented at Eurocucina 2012. Toncelli worked with Experientia, an experience design consultancy, to create an amazingly technologically advanced, user friendly kitchen. So where’s all the high tech stuff hiding in this modern, minimal kitchen? The most impressive feature is the kitchen island’s sleek work surface. It’s equipped with a sliding cutting board and built in Samsung Galaxy Tablet technology for a fully interactive and engaging kitchen experience. Other exciting features include innovative door open/close mechanisms, invisible handles, transparent top with base illumination. All these elements work together to give this kitchen an ultra modern almost futuristic feel, but cleverly wrapped in a timeless design. Visit Toncelli for more information.

Getting Leafy Green for Kids

5 Apr

If you’ve got a study room specifically for the children in your house and you’ve got air that might be slightly less than green, there’s an air filter out there for you! WOW Air Green is a a green air filter which brings your room five stages of filtering for your room including a HEPA filter to protect against viruses and filtering elements which commonly cause allergies.

Plasma Ion technology is also used to remove any and all harmful materials in the air, creating a clean space for all. In addition, this unit “brings warm feelings of wood” into your indoor space creating a sense of nature’s finest cleanliness!

This project is designed not only to allow parents peace of mind for the lung health of their children, it’s made to look nice as well. One giant green leaf is what this lovely machine is meant to look like, and green nature is what it’s meant to remind you of.

Opel Boomerang Bike

The RAD e builds a bridge from the automaker Opel’s origins in bicycle manufacturing to its current position as the transportation producer of the future. The RAD e is the first e-bike designed around automotive production methods. It is made of hollow pressed-steel which is light, strong, flexible and easy to make. The pedelec drive of the RAD e is based on a state-of-the-art 250 Watt electric motor, powered by a lithium-ion battery. It provides an electrically-assisted range of 60 to 140 km, depending on the terrain.

The ‘boomerang’ styling elements, which also feature in the award-winning Ampera and RAK e, give the RAD e a dynamic, sporty character. Other design highlights include the almost self-supporting frame, which makes the battery the heart of the bike; the dynamic flow of lines; and the fully-enclosed drive, which reduces maintenance needs to a minimum.

Dang The Radiated Illumination

I have seen radiators repurposed as towel dryers and mimicked as mugs, but this is my first lamp! Radiant Floor Lamp features an array of lamp elements, modeled after standard-sized fluorescent U-bulbs. As Steve explains, “The path from electricity to light is controlled by a standard water spigot valve handle.” Love it!

Really Really Smart – Part Two

Looking for the perfect marriage between a digital scale, measuring cup and a mixing bowl? Your search ends with this awesome SmartMix! A notch up from the SmartMeasure Cup, this mixing bowl allows you to add and weigh ingredients both by volume and by weight, while preparing the recipe. The scale allows you to convert between the most common units, and tip in the elements with accuracy. Best of all, you can detach the bowl for easy cleaning and stow it separately. Superb!

Matt Woods and an Enmore house

Not to sound too negative , while the design feel here isn’t bad I find it all rather generic in that it plays to cliches . Also I don’t understand the Morrcan style bathroom , which has some nice elements btw , in that it bares no relation to the house ?
