Designer Christopher Duffy has sent us the latest images of his amazing Swing Table, created for Duffy London.

Here’s from the designer:
“Putting a little extra fun into dinner time and boardroom meetings, this four poster table uses its structure to suspend a central GEO lampshade and eight hanging chairs that sway playfully.
This design creates an exceptionally divergent experience and aesthetic, creating a room within a room, with chairs that float around the table, it also makes vacuuming a breeze.
Materials: Walnut from Stewardship Council managed forests and other controlled sources, powder coated mild steel.”

The Swing Table is available in bespoke finishes and sizes. Priced at £6,895. Visit Duffy London for more details.

The Rub View Camera is quite a clever concept. It builds up on where the Polaroid camera left off. Don’t be fooled by the slim design and packaging because beneath all that glitz is a camera capable of transferring images to a blank paper in a jiffy. The designer has not elaborated on it, but the little we know is that it works on the concept of transferring the image like how you would do screen printing on cloth. It certainly adds a kitsch element to taking pictures and sharing them.

LENS°ASS

4 Sep

Rough luxe, rustic yet modern, traditional married with minimalism. Indoor melds with outdoor, concrete and stainless steel, glass and pebbles and everything washed with beautiful natural light. The gallery and dwelling of Valerie Traan in Antwerp, Belgium by LENS°ASS Architect. Subtle beauty, the preservation of the old and the juxtaposition of the modern in a sympathetic way and always the presence of repeating patterns of brick or herringbone or block. After the jump a few more images from the firm’s design of a GP surgery in an old brick barn like structure.

The one pictured looks like a Neff but it doesn’t show on their website, maybe it is discontinued. Here are some links: don’t know how available they are in North America though.

Just google “inline gas stovetop” and then click images.
