In honor of Valentines day (and my dad’s birthday), I thought I’d post some of my favorite images that remind me of the holiday filled with lots of pink!  To be honest,  pink has been on my mind a lot lately not because of Valentines Day but because I’m working with two different clients who absolutely adore it.  It’s opened my eyes and made me dig deep to incorporate just the right amount and shade of pink without going overboard or creating something that screams cotton candy!  So with that in mind,  Here are the images that grabbed me and inspire me to be more daring :

The N1 watch is a tribute to everyone’s favorite tennis pro, the top ranked (and totally shaggable) Novak Djokovic. The inspiration from the sport’s signature racket pattern is reflected on the inner surface in the form of a net that provides a delicate touch in contrast with its other bold, masculine features, including the No.1 insignia- a nod to Djokovic.

Drawing inspiration from Brasa, we have here an exceptionally slim and innovative rear light for cycles. The design optimizes the use of Light Line Technology (LLT), where the technique and optics clearly offset the single string of lights from the rest of the body, giving the impression that a red line is floating in the air. An easily accessible switch and simple battery removal, make it very practical and efficient light.

As the designer explains, “The LLT uses one LED only and the extra-wide shape of its light guide allows a great visibility on both corners, offering more visibility and safety for the user and other road users. An additional asset of this technology is that the power consumption is extremely low compared to other rear lights on the market. The Brasa is available in both dynamo and battery versions, with sensor (automatic) and safe-stop functions. Customization of the glass mask and the housing are possible on demand.

The Light Line Technology of the Brasa has one single LED, which consumes 23 mA only. This brings the autonomy of the battery versions up to 160h.”

This past week I was researching inspiration for closets and built-ins for a client project that currently requires renovating two bedrooms. The closets in both rooms may be visible to the room itself, so the most ideal way to make them presentable is to make them look good! That means built-in drawers and cabinetry, nice hardware and lighting, and other decorative elements to create a stylish closet space.
