Get the Look: Master Bedroom

12 Jan

I thought I would share with our Material Girls readers one of my online design projects, a “Get the Look” feature for a master bedroom. The online design services I offer works for client’s anywhere, looking for design help and direction. Clients email pictures of the room they are looking for help with along with the room measurements (including any other specific requests such as budget, style, needs, or existing furnishings to incorporate). Once received, I provide two furniture floor plan layout options for them to decide on. In this instance, the client chose the one below for her master bedroom:

From there I start selecting the furniture options (in most cases providing several options per furniture piece, varying on pricing highs and lows) for the client to choose from. In putting together the concept board, I will usually select the best of the best options (as well as it becomes an exercise in seeing how the pieces work together). There are many times I move items around, switch things out, or even update selections as they are decided upon!

Here are a few key pieces of the master bedroom featured above for your own “get the look” -

Pondicherry Headboard with Nailheads from Serena and Lily this headboard comes in several fabric options to choose from!

“Amelie” Mirrored Nighstand from Horchow currently on sale!

Meena Table Lamp from Home Decorators I love this lamp, wish it for myself!

Chloe chair from Room & Board (one great thing about Room & Board is that you can customize the leg finishes on many of their pieces).

 Serpentine Steel Gray Flatweave Rug from Layla Grayce one of my favorite go to sources for fun and graphic area rugs!

“Maria Theresa” Chandelier from Horchow another item currently on sale!!

Maison Armoire from Restoration Hardware so pretty!

Grey Haze Hand Painted Print from Ballard Design.

{Additional accessories and furnishings that are shown on plan, not included in this listing.}
