Some readers’ bedrooms

24 Feb

We received emails from Stephanie (from Montreal) and Bec who wanted to show off their bedrooms that they say were inspired by desire to inspire. Big smiles from both Jo and I as we’re here to inspire the pants off of you all. I thought I’d share them with you today, starting with Stephanie’s (the rest of Stephanie’s and Bec’s will be after the jump).

I’ve been a big fan of your blog for a while now, and your posts have definitely been a huge inspiration for my new bedroom. Though I’m not a professional photographer with a big (and expensive!) camera, I’ve got some decent shots and a very adorable kitten is even featured !

My name is Bec Bardoel and I have been a keen follower of your blog! I just wanted to say thankyou so much for all the amazing work you have put into your blog, I’m always inspired and motivated by each update. It has been especially helpful and motivating when I’m stressed and worn out from my textile uni assignments. Anyway i thought I’d share some pictures with you of my new room that I decorated from all your inspirational imagery and posts.

My Room Is Purposely Messy

30 Apr

Siluet`s form suggests a sketched outline in play. It looks like a wire hanger on steroids but that’s part of the charm. If you’re a perpetual mess cat with clothes everywhere, why fight it? I say embrace it. If you’re gonna throw clothes around, why not make it look artful? Just make sure your friends don’t call Hoarders on you because I’ve seen that show. They make you get rid of everything, EVERYTHING!

Molecule – Highly Configurable Public Seating Solutions

19 Jan

Highly configurable public seating solutions that let you create your own arrangement offer a lot of advantages over more constrictive ideas. First, the person gets to become the designer in developing the arrangement right for the space. Despite the best planning there often needs to be “tweaks” made after the solution is implemented and the results are measured. With this type of product the changes can be more easily made. This product is called “Molecule” from Arconas. Configurable solutions are also finding there way into homes such as in Stephanie Perruchon’s Range Studio, designed to be multi-functional and make good use of precious space in a home.
